I have a very lovely seies III 88" as seen on the pics, it is my first ever land rover and I love it.... however, my combo work van is playing up and I need to decide whether to sell it....problem being, my landy isn't quite big enough to get all of my gear in comfortably which means I would need a 109", or I could keep my 88" and spend the money on my combo and keep both......... Now it's over to all of you proper old time enthusiasts to encourage me to do the right thing...... as they say on bullseye.... Shall I gamble away my 88" for a 109"?? Or shall I go home with my tail between my legs and discover what I "could" have won???? Over to you............ cheers, terry.

spend the cash on yer combo, just think of the cold days when yer combo heater is churnin out the warm stuff or you could be freezing yer bollocks off in an old series with condensation dripping down the back of yer neck ;)

If your 88 is a good un keep hold of it. You could get rid and end up with a pile of crap then regret it.

yeah get a trailer, versatile thngs and you can leave it behind if you don't need it. A good series is hard to get hold of. I had one, I regret 'losing' it, Takes half adozen purchases to find the right one again. Keep the series, get a trailer ....

i was in a simular predicament as u but having looked at both decided on a 109 which ive spent the last 3 months getting running its not quite ready but as my escort van met an old fella with demeture coming round a roundabout the wrong way on friday im about to put it to the test did look at a couple of 88s and 90s but thought they had less room in than the escort

i have an 88" and i can fit my cement mixer and all my tools in the back, and if it does not fit in the back i use my small trailer!!!

I've got a 110 van for the very reason that once the dog's in the back you can't get nothing else into a swb. The 88 I'm rebuilding is just a toy so no need for a big load space.
