750.16 is standard for lwb.. just not the number of studs. Dunno about tyre ratings on crossplys but they might be too stiff given they are on 8 stud rims? Don't know

I think those wheels may well have come from a heavy load trailer, something like a mobile sheep dip unit.

As long as they are not shiny with polish to cover any cracks.
If you start at 50 you can always go up a bit…

They have got the lugs/bump for hub caps, so pretty old.
My 52 Ford pickup has 8 lug wheels (yankie) and 16” but from memory 3 lugs for the hub caps.
