Does anyone know whether or not having people sat in the boot of a disco 1 will attract the attention of the police? I'm sure many don't realise it's a 7 seater. Anyone had a problem?

The Discovery was designed to carry 7 people and insured with this in mind, why would the police have any interest?

One of the reasons I got mine was for the 7 seats. I've never had a problem. Seem to remember once someone disguising the legality of wearing the seat belts back there, surely if they're fitted you wear them? No hi jacking of thread intended!!

Only problem I've had with the seats in the boot is my kids hitting their heads when I hit a speed bump too fast:D

Wheres ya piccies?

not a problem, although the seat belt laws are different forsideways facing seats IIRC.But wear em and theres no problem.

Agree with all the above.

I once owned a 7-seater Fourtrak and never had any unwanted attention when the rear two sideways seats were occupied.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that you should make sure you use the seats correctly, i.e. not use child seats with them, and only allow children large enough/old enough to sit on them.

You'll find that most people who see them want a go at sitting in them:confused: just for the novelty value (or maybe I just know weird people!), but it is fun going over speed humps:D

Incidentally I've had 7 adult's in the Disco, never had any problem's with the boy's in blue.
