**** that has been really badly done:eek:, no way a proffesional conversion with two chassis hacked together- how do I know, cos I make the kit to do it properly!

Although in fairness, as that's exactly how Land Rover used to make the 127 (ie take a 110, hack the end of and butt weld some more chassis on). One could say it's at least on par as a professionally built Land Rover from the factory.

6 wheel Should be 6x6 not 4x4....... half a job

A mate is building a 6x6 recovery truck, I will add a few pics and his is 6x6

no its got one chassis welded on top of other very poor
Exactly, I would have thought a pro would have had the sence to have a look at a proper conversion then copy it.
This has nothing in common with 127 or 130 which were certainly not hacked from 2 chassis.

But, if it works what's the problem?? Do you have a better design, have you built better??

Yes and yes!! make em for a living and sell the chassis extension kits as well, and I make a splitter box to give 6x6 ,I aint no 18 yr old forum warrior I mod landrovers and build mad stuff for a living.

Well done you.:5bspam: Who is the 18yr old forum warrior then:confused:

Nope, not one of mine. Just having a laugh at the pretentious folk on here. :mooning::hysterically_laughi
Whats pretentious you plumb,I know how to build em and a cobbled chassis on something with a gtw of 5000kg + is dangerous and it definately hasnt got a ministry cert on it.

How do you drive the 3rd axle, is it via the PTO on the transfer box? Or do you use some form of take-off from the rear prop?

:)

Cant use the output from the pto as its direct from the gearbox so is the wrong ratio(direct 1:1)
Just make a simple splitter box to give two outputs to drive the rear axles, one being selectable, though space is tight on 110 based 6x6, 130 plenty of room.

Cheers, you got any pics I could see?

I mentioned the PTO, as you could drive a 2nd transfer box off it and then drive an axle off that. I believe a company in the 1980's early 90's used to do this.
