I'm 6'2" and regardless of seat position always catch the top of my shoe on the bulkhead or whatever it is right above the brake pedal. What a random place to put such an obstructive bit of plastic LOL!

Instead of being able to easily go from revs to brake, I have to lift my whole foot off and move leg as such. Now i'm used to it can do it quickly but its still a little niggle that makes me wonder does anyone else notice this?

Yeah Im 6'0 and size 11 shoes, ..tops of feet seem to be obstructed by it a bit when coming off the pedals but I'm over it :)

I'm 6'1 with size 12 and always wear boots and I've never had a problem. You sure you're int wearing hipster shoes?

Never hard of this before?

Im 6"2, size 10 feet, and never caught my feet on anything down there??

When i drive my wifes 08 scenic, the pedals are so close together i can press all 3 at the same time with one foot... Bloody french...

When my foot is resting on the brake pedal there is very little room (on mine anyway) between the top of my shoe / boot and the framework for the fuses and I can't just lift my straight foot off ... if this is not a problem for everyone then Im wondering if the pedal is set too high or something its about 30mm more forward than the clutch pedal, I can understand Sixty's problem too getting his foot across from accelerator to brake and having to avoid this framework.
As Sixty says its just a niggle :)
Thanks guys

6'6 and size 12 feet. No more problems with the pedals as i get from any other vehicles. Headroom is another matter....

French cars i suffer badly with. saxo being the worst

move seat back? lift leg higher?

Tried seat in all positions but foot still catches the fuse box frame, Haynes does not mention much about the brake pedal so I guess its not adjustable...it would be perfect if it was back about 30mm and level with the clutch pedal but hey ho...like I said earlier I'm over it ...Sixty have you anything to add ? coz Im done with this cheers, Neil. :beer2:

my brake pedal is higher than the revs and the clutch, only slighty but enough i can't just swivel foot from one to the other like most cars/4x4's i've drove.

If I wear my trainers i'm asking for trouble as they really do catch dangerously! shoes only when i'm driving the freelander.

Just seems such a wierd place to put an obtrusive box!

Seriously get a different vehicle. Everyone tried to help and you come back with tried that. Done that. That doesn't work. Bloody hell. Did u test drive first?? If it's dangerous to drive then don't drive it.

every vehicle is different. they just take getting used to.

Go look on the defender forum and see if there is anything about moving the steering wheel 2" to the left
