Another new issue - who would have thought eh!
on starting the 96 p38 i now get (but not everytime) 6 beeps yet no message appears on the message centre, there are no warning lights or any messages whilst driving and i cannot find a meaning for 6 beeps in the manual.
All beeps seem to be related to messages that should appear on the dash

does anyone know what this may mean?

many thanks

Do you get any messages at all on message centre? If none, try to provoke an "alarm fault" message by disconnecting sensor then locking car, unlocking and re-entering, car. I should show as a fault. (just to find out or not if message centre is actually working).

i have had a low brake fluid warning and something else that i cannot remember so i think the display itself works, i also get the information ones like ignition key in and window set etc

what sort of beeps are they - all the same note? and are they from inside or are they the alarm system warning you of something ? When I turn mine off I get 6 beeps but they are high-low, high-low, high-low (if that makes sense).

If you leave the bonnet open & start the car you can trigger a warning message to test, when you start to move forward you should get three beeps - it it the same type of beep?

i shall try and let you know

And with our history together she clearly doesnt love me! or if she does she has a funny way of showing it! mind you thinking about it i hav repalced pretty mush everthing in the 12 months i have had her so it isnt much different to the wife!

I know its a totally different car but on my Freelander that meant the battery in the key fob was getting low.
