any1 know if there are adverse effects changing from permanent 4wd to 2wd on a 54 petrol freelander, in an attempt to get better milage? also wot sort of milage should i be expecting at the present? thnks
 
wrong car. also the mot stuff that is gonna/has already happened/might never happen could potentially be an issue

It really depends on how far you drive, but if you're lucky you should get about 50 or 60 miles between breakdowns.;):D:D
 
See how the economy goes up once you've removed the only good thing about the car, the 4-wheel-drive system, then, if it's still not cheap enough to run, why not remove the ****ing engine too?

it only gives marginally better mpg ,but will drive summat awful.

why buy a 4x4 and turn it into a 2wd?
 
I gotta agree with the majority of these posts... if you gonna change it to 2wd buy summat else that has better fuel economy... 1L micras are great on fuel :D
