Hi Guys
I've just had a phone round looking for prices for a 48k service on my 2005 TD4. My local dealer quoted me £490 - I just about fell off the bloody chair!
I also phoned a Land Rover specialist in Edinburgh (Whites - anyone ever used it?) and they've quoted £273, with a "diesel flush" which, apparently, the dealer doesn't do. Sounds good value.
Given the current financial climate, it's obviously a no-brainer in terms of where I go here. The other option I thought of, and I'm not sure if it's a recommended or safe option, is 'Kwik-Fit'. According to their website, I'd be looking at around £175 for a full service. Obviously, my concern here would be that they wouldn't do any LR specific checks or jobs. Thoughts on a Kwik-Fit service? (crap I'm guessing!).
So, can anyone offer any advice here? Incidentally, my TD4 has only covered 24k - I guess this doesn't make any difference to what needs to be carried out, despite it technically still being a 48k service?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
