fuse box did smell a wee bit burny yest right enough, though they normally do? is it a big job swapping it over ?

No, normally they shouldn't smell 'burny'. Straightforward time consuming job with RAVE as reference. Disconnect and reconnect battery correctly as owners handbook.

ok pay day friday, new coil, leads, and fuse box, fingers crossed, and i didnt realise that mines has always had a slight scent of electrics burning, like the old zx spectrum overheating smell
