Head gasket may have failed between water way and cylinder, is the cooling system over pressurising? Do a compression test
sounds like NO compression to me
the horror... well, i can see the rockerarm moving through the oilfiller hole. im going to take of the rocker covers and get back to you.
did one cylinder the other day, not a beat of movment on the pressure gauge, i assumed there was something wrong with the tester since nothing happened. i am at work today, will test more tomorrow.
Compression test on nr. 1, 2, 6 and 8. Zero across the board. Nothing. I skipped the rest because it was depressing, thight squeeze and cold as a mf. I whipped off the right rocker cover an had my father in law crank while i checked the movement. All valves move just fine..... Meaning the cam and crank is fine. I also tested all the fuses, all fine.
This is ****ing me off now.
Nowt to do with fuses, think you are grasping at straws. Guess you didn't wet and dry test as advised by wammers. I think its time to go against your mums advice and pull your heads off I don't know this engine but is it possible for the timing chain to jump if it is worn, without damage to the valves?
I Don't get the joke.
Heads are not coming of any time soon.
Cam and timing set is relativly new. One year and a bit not to many kilometers on them.
No, didn't wet test now, outside, winter, norway. will do a full leak test as soon as i get the car back to a garage.
Grasping at straws? Yes, i am guessing, as nothing i have checked apart from the compression is ok, and those are fishy test results also. I checked anyway, again.
