hi guys and gals
feeling a bit daft, but is there an easy way to remove the injector harness plugs . it seems a stupid way to have to prise out the spring clips. or is that it. some of the plugs just push the clip forwards and pull, but the injector ones

You don't say what year your car is? but whatever the injectors are a push fit held in place by spring clips. Or is it the electrical connector you are having problems with? normally you just press them in on the sides equally and pull a little.

sorry stopover. its a gems engine and its the plugs on the injectors. I think they have gone hard and brittle so squeezing them seems to be likely to break them. and trying to prise out the spring clips :violent:

I thought you pushed the spring clip down and pulled the connector apart, rather than prised it out to pull it apart.

It's been a while since I've tried but that's how I remember doing it.

thanks guys decided to leave them connected and swing the inlet manifold out of the way on top of the battery cover.:D
