Gents, Advise please. Can I fit a 4.6 block into a 3.9 Classic retaining 4.6 cam and heads but using 3.9 inlet manifold and hotwire plus a serpentine dizzy type front cover from a late Disco 1? cheers Nick

No you need the 4.6 cam with the dissy drive on and fit the 3.9 plenum top and you are good to go simple

I put a 4.3 in a 3.9....

The cam from your 3.9 can be used if your on a tight budget.

But why not take the opportunity to replace it with something a bit more fruity? seen as its out already?

Thanks for all the advise. Going to keep it as standard as possible. Maybe fit 4.0 pistons to raise CR slightly as on LPG, also gas flow heads ,inlet manifold,and use headman headers.
Was going to keep cam standard as auto so need easy low down power.
