Hi everyone.I need some of your knowledge.Last week coolant started dripping out of the little hole in the water pump.so i changed the pump.now its seems to be doing it again. What would cause this. Many thanks.

Faulty seal in the pump, the seal is the only thing that holds the water back.
Unless your cooling system has suddenly increased pressure and is now excessive.

Whos pump r u using ?.

Cheers for the reply.Unsure of the make of the pump. However i had to change the rad last week becaue it burst.i wonder if theres too much pressure.there dosent seem to be any evidence of head gasket failure and the engine runs perfectly and dosent get hot.

The vents in the expansion bottle control the pressure normally, so may be faulty u can try and clean but the best thing is just replace the cap.

You mean excessively hot I think. ;)

The seal may have been bad and a bad seal can be made worse by over tightening the belt on the fan pulley. Any possibility that may have occurred?

yep the hole in the bottom of pump is a tell tail hole letting you know the seal is leaking onto the bearing.take your new pump back, most units are recon im not saying there crap but not fail safe

The tension of the serpentine belt is done automatically via an additional pully spring arangement.
