After a brief 12 month break from P38 life i have acquired a '01 4.0 Thor, on springs :(, and a '95 4.6 GEMS on EAS, in the hope that any one will be roadworthy at any one time!

They both have issues, but after all the help and wisdom gained from here i saved my last one from the scrapheap after BECM immobilizer issues and successfully put it back on air from coils.

Anyway, starting on the 4.0 Thor, after a new fuse-box and new Bosch MAF this weekend she is running well on petrol and not cutting out anymore. But once switched to LPG, a BRC SEQ 56 system, it dies almost instantly. I have bought the rqd lead and software, replaced the filters and looked for any obvious signs of failure but all seems OK mechanically.

However i am unable to access the BRC diagnostic screen, i get the warning shown in the attached image.

Can anyone help as to why this is, i have had experience with a fair few LPG systems but not BRC. Am i using a newer version of the software then the ECU was setup with?

By the service history the system was installed back in 2006. Any help would be great, good to be back, my local petrol station is even happier then i am that im back in the P38 club :)

I will give it a try, thanks. I thought there was just the 2 solenoids, one on the tank and one on the vapouriser? I can hear the tank solenoid click when I try and switch over to gas.
I am at a loss with the software have tried the oldest version I can find along with several other BRC versions and same error so may try a new ecu and programme from scratch.

As the system relies on injection and solenoid to the injects need the signal to open when petrol drained. I would check there first. Also the safe option would be to find reputable LPG servic garage as you say the petrol side is okay. The vapouriser could be faulty as this would block the gas moving to the inject points.
