Hi all just woundering I have the 3dr in black and the removable roof has fraded to a gray. I know it's cosmetic but was thinking of using simmonz back to black on it or have people used something better??
Cheers Mitch

i've been using this on external black trim ..
http://www.carplan.co.uk/index.cfm?product=100

it's like liquid black shoe polish ..

sometimes mixed 50/50 with this ..
http://www.armorall.eu/en/products/protectants/gloss-protectant

been using armorall since the 1970's for car trim ..

some of the Carplan-Black-Trim-Wax 'amazon' reviews mention it streaks in the rain ..
i've not found that to be the case ...
but .. non of the external trim on my hippo had faded to grey

if it gets on paintwork .. it wipes off easily

Boiled linseed oil. Paint it on with a brush. Or black boot polish. The linseed lasts alot longer though.

I think they look best sprayed gloss black. It wouldn't costs huge amounts to be painted and the finish would last much longer than stuff in bottles.

Was toying with the idea of spraying it Matt black to have a contrast between them both to it would look well at the same time
