Hi all,

I did a bit of a web search but was unsuccessful, I'm looking for someone or a company that is 3d printing some l322 interior parts. There's a few plastics that are starting to fall apart, for example, the in-dash cup holder on early l322, in my case the movement in and out is fine, but the bottom part of the cup holder, which prevented small cups/bottles from passing straight through to the floor has snapped.

I don't think I need the full part, I just want to get that inner part, looks like a shelf, and I thought this would be ideal for a 3d printer.

Any ideas of businesses currently offering bits like this?

Never heard of anyone, but that's not to say someone with a small printer couldn't do it for you. Have to say with lowest price for the unit, on the bay, being £50 explains why you don't want to buy the full thing.
Other thought is try all the scrappies near you. Or scrappies on the bay. They'll advertise a wheel nut , or similar, but be breaking full vehicle.

In my experience 3D printed parts have to be thicker than injection moulded plastic to achive the same strength. Perhaps if you post a picture of the broken bit someone may have an idea.
@gold rover there was a thread about 3D printing not long ago.

In my experience cig's only last 2 minutes at 70mph anyway

Think one of the classic car progs had some stuff made, believe they borrowed original part from manufacturer collection to scan from as Nola, thinking Clio Williams so maybe Paul Cowland on Salvage Hunters-Classic Cars, could maybe be worth searching catch-up for episode?
Have seen companies doing demos at the NEC but don’t recall who at mo, but they did use various products depending on strength required.

By the time you've designed the part in the cad software and sent it off to print it would have cost more than the £50 on fleabay.
