H hondahooligan New Member Nov 12, 2007 #2 Hi All 300tdi's originally fitted with viscous fan. the hotter the engine the faster the fan turns. I took mine off and fitted an electric fan. Engine heats up quicker and also get slightly better MPG as the engine not turning fan all the time.
