currently got the engine out off my 300 ,
It conveniently snapped a rod xmas day.
Is there anything worth replacing in the auto box while it's all out?

Is there much in them that wears out? Cars done 120 tho ish - jap import tho so not sure if it's service history or a menu.

clutch pack A is worth a look but only if you want to pull bell housing and pump plate off, colour of oil is a good indicator ,black burnt clutch plate,brown just old oil ,red fresh oil or very good box thats been serviced

Dropped the oil when I pulled everything apart , it was brown and didn't smell burnt so think I'll chance it.
Knowing my luck the bloody thing will go on the test drive tho!

ensure torque converter is fully home in box before fitting to the engine, id change oil again after a few miles so you have as clean as possible in there

Hopefully order the bottom end bits tomorrow - shells and rings etc
Then get the bloody thing built again,sick off moving engines bits that are I. My way!
