I'm in the middle of removing the engine from my 96 300TDi. It's taking an awful lot longer than I thought as it appears that the wiring loom needs lots of disconnecting.
Both Haynes and Rave state that the engine loom can be detached simply by opening two multiplugs under the dash. However, when I look and trace the wires from the engine bay to the plugs, there seem to be at least 2 other bundles that are not connected to multiplugs.
All the wiring looks standard (it's all in the same covering stuff at any rate) so my question is are the multiplugs noted the only thing that really needs disconnecting (apart from the odd earth, starter motor, etc)?
Cheers
