Interested in one. Could you pm me price please. Also is there a way to just relocate alternator with using same belt? I'm just sick of changing mine due to dirt/ water damage
 
Hmmmm

Just gone to fit it and it appears that it doesn't fit with the alternator I have :(

I have a Magnetti Morelli A127/65

If I attach the alternator to the bracket the adjustment lug is on the wrong side. To be honest this was just a tester as I got the alternator for free and once working I was going to stick one on it that has an enclosed fan. What alternators SHOULD fit on this?
 
cant you split that and rotate the casing with the adjuster lug on? I'm sure I remember doing that back in the 90s when I worked in a garage

.... on another note pressbrake can you tell me what size the supplied long bolts are as in his wisdom my dad decided to tidy them up into the random bolts box while the bracket spent a week hanging up after being painted lol

Looking at your picture and the example one, have you got the bolt in the right place?

Should the bottom left alt bolt not line up with the bottom left bracket bolt?
 
I think the offset of the tubes is to allow for the thickness of the alt.

Left side bolts through alt to bracket and right side bolts through adjuster to alt.

ste the long bolt is 130 long

Cowasaki you have a wrong handed alternator, also in the alternator rear pivot mount there is a slider tube to set to bracket thickness

on the first batch I made both tubes the same lengths because of the bolts I had in stock though on the last batch I made the tension er tube shorter as I had the correct bolts in stock, the only critical tube is the alternator mount/pivot tube

ps got three left never again, they are not worth the bother to earn a fiver for making them ( then spending £1.50 to park when going to post office:eek:)

To be honest I can see that you wouldn't make a great deal but I'm grateful you did make these. It is a well made bracket and I will buy a new alternator with a protected fan rather than the A127/65 I have (I got it for free!). I've just bought a motorcycle too so I've been busy with that and not had chance to mess much. I'm starting to get the stuff together for a second landy (a crew cab) and this might be better on that so might just leave the 90 with one alternator driving two batteries.....
