cant you split that and rotate the casing with the adjuster lug on? I'm sure I remember doing that back in the 90s when I worked in a garage

I think the offset of the tubes is to allow for the thickness of the alt.
Left side bolts through alt to bracket and right side bolts through adjuster to alt.

on the first batch I made both tubes the same lengths because of the bolts I had in stock though on the last batch I made the tension er tube shorter as I had the correct bolts in stock, the only critical tube is the alternator mount/pivot tubeThe one at post #110 looks like it has two tubes as wide as the bracket.......

ps got three left never again, they are not worth the bother to earn a fiver for making them ( then spending £1.50 to park when going to post office)
