Hey guys,

I’ve been looking to fit a timing case breather, I don’t really want to drill and tap as don’t want to take the whole case of

my question is would removing my air con and it’s tensioner for a shorter belt open up the spot for one of the breather plate kits to bolt on or are the cases different between the air con and non air con model?

Is the tensioner still required without aircon?

many thanks

Defo keep the a/c if its working
Why not drill and tap the tensioner body itself, 90 degree to 6mm pushfit swivel fitting would look tidy, if you cannot do it buy the fitting and tka eit to your local garage.

I just drilled and tapped the original blank plate same as your pic of the blue one.

I think most important thing is to keep the bottom drain hole clear and only block it when getting wet/muddy, they need fresh air.

Would it not cause swaft/metal to end up in the cam casing drilling and tapping without removing the whole cover?
