I think thats it, i didn't know they existed till testerday and somebody mentioned it on another thread, as i understand they were fitted on the 300tdi's and assume they fit the 200 tdi, just looking for a way of quieting down my 200tdi in my RR classic

yeah, they don't work very well ;)

best off insulating the bulkhead , transmission tunnels and bonnet imo

I did all sorts trying to quieten down the 200Di in my 109. Can't say it was ever exactly quiet but after doing everything else adding the engine cover did make a noticeable difference.

Don't know if I'd have noticed if I'd added before lining the bulkhead and footwells, seatbox, load bay, roof......blah blah

Worth a punt I'd say if you can find one for reasonable money

its got quit a lot if insulation on the inside, would you also put it in the engine bay around the bulkhead ?

easier to make yourself a bit deaf

Best thing I've found for quieting down my engine is 5 litres of veg oil in the tank and a mayhosive stereo[emoji3]

I have a mint one £25
Thanks Dinky, a lot can happen in 2 days, i have reluctantly decided to sell the rr, i dont think it will ever be quiet enough for long journeys towing the caravan, but somebody will fall in love with it as i did
