well.....
if yu duz - and it still looked like tha - we all autta be worrited.
if yu dont - i think yu might be in future.

just think wot the inside of ya bellhousing looks like?
mite be worth taking off the starter motor and having a shufty inside??

I would take all the pulleys off, clean the lot. If you were not planning on replacing the idler and tensioner pulley then make sure you do that too.

Gosh .... just saw the piccies .... it was driving on the public roads with all the crap inside.

I wonder what's in his bellhousing. Couple of bream most like,

From what I gather he's rather enthusiastic when ity comes to mud plugging.:D

Sure, and we all applaud his efforts to get the OUTSIDES of his Landy all pretty and muddy (that being what Landy paint is for) but someone needs to tell him it is NOT necessary to fill the INSIDES of his engine with mud.

I still want to know what's in the bellhousing!

Have yu read this and this and this?
It seems there is a lot of info on premature wear on early 300Tdi engines. Oh facial landrover fixes and possible bearing replacements. Might just save yu some money.

A good tip here is to remove the rocker gear complete, most discos bend all push rods or bend rocker arms, very rarely any engine damage...take out glow plugs and do a compression test on cyl,s...if OK then carefully examine rocker arms for damage even stress cracks will fail eventually so look with a mag glass ...you must replace all push rods (as has been suggested)...if the comp test fails you are in trouble but done thro the plug holes saves you taking injector gear off...best of luck..
