Hey, I have a 300tdi thats been sat for a little over a year. I have a new battery, changed the oil, coolant and filters and am planning on getting it running again soon. I'm wondering with it being sat for so long is there anything I need to be aware of or anything else I can do that will help with the first time I start it up? Thanks

Remove the fuel solenoid and spin the engine a few times to circulate the oil and help build the pressure up and then you should find it'll start ok

Or just disconnect the live feed to it.. and turn it over until the oil light goes out.... You might like to change the coolant again once you've run for a bit - the corrosion inhibitors might be "used up" pretty quickly in an engine which has been stood... actually, same goes for the engine oil.....

Drop a bit of new oil in the bores and turn over by hand or just go crazy and fire her straight up...
