folks,
I’m currently running a 94 300tdi Defender with 152k miles on the clock.
It starts ok and ticks over but will occasionally start to ‘hunt’ as being starved of fuel.
When driving it, it accelerates ok, but will reach a point where it starts to ‘pause’; this also happens when sitting at a steady speed.
A new lift pump and injectors have been fitted and while it has improved it slightly, the problem is still there.
Any thoughts?

Air filter clean?

Timing shifted, turbo pipes leaking, turbo waste gait sticking.

Accelerater cable got too much slack or slipping or limit stop screw set wrong.
