I have a 300 on the garage floor.
I pulled it from a disco that had been retired due to chasiss rot. I only drove the vehical onto the trailer, nothing more - unknown condition but still had the egr connected, so probably not hugely messed with.
I'll never refit it as is. What I'm wondering as to is a leisurely rebuild / check over so as I know I've got a known good.
If I do this, how much of it will be replaced as a matter of course, and how much (if good) will be reused.
What I mean is, you're not going to reuse gaskets, but you would the crank shaft. But what about bearings etc.
What I'm trying to work out is what I'd be spending as a baseline, *before* I find any issues?
Thank you
