Southdown snorkel arrived today, will fit it at some point over the break. Are there any recommended sealants to use for the joints and of course any further places to waterproof? Hoping to run my extended breathers into along it.

I don’t really intend on needing it, it’s mainly for piece of mind that if I one day end up deeper than expected then I have some help on my side.

I used mostly silicone sealer .. and Self amalgamating tape.

yeah, I used an equivalent to Tiger Seal on my first snorkel, but dodn't have any when i did this one, so used what i had in the shed .. :)

mine are just ran up the side of the snorkel and shoved into the air intake at the top ;) with a few cable ties making sure they stay in place

Same as @StuRox said .. ran up to the bulkhead, into a Manifold then single airline up the snorkel and into the top, again with cable ties .. ;)

I run breathers from both axles, both gearboxes and the timing cover, hence the manifold to tidy them up.

Same as above with a manifold on the bulkhead to get just one breather pipe to the snorkel :D

I’ve got a pair of 2-1’s on it at the moment, will swap it for a 4-1 and break out the cable ties, thanks!
