I bought a paddocks one for about £90. turned up to be a britpart one.
Plastic headers but for the price I can't complain. It's fitted and works fine.
Was actually the same as the old one. don't know if it was original.
Was a 95 300tdi Disco 1

Ordered and received that rad. Very impressed, however the oil cooler adapter bosses aren't the correct size. The oil cooler pipe spigots are 11.6mm dia, but the holes in the adapters are 10.02mm dia. I have asked for replacement adapters.

I wouldnt bother. Bought one - it arrived at the end of May. Still waiting for a partial refund as it is not fit for purpose.

To be precise, the radiator seems OK, but the oil pipe fittings arent correct for a 300TDi and the holes are too small for the pipes to fit. I have had to have them bored out :(.

Couldn't get some adaptor fittings to either purchase or have made?
There must be a few different suppliers because a mate here bought an all ally rad for his '97 Tdi, and an upsize all ally intercoler and AFAIK it all went back ok without any drama, both beautifully crafted as well, yeh how do they do it?
If you were wondering why a local repair costs more, guess the guys at your local rad shop won't work for the same rate as the chinaman who made, (and very nicely too), your new full ally radiator.
When I change the rad in mine it will be one of those full ally ones too, good choice.

Hmmm this is interesting information as my rad is looking worse for wear and I was planning on getting an Ali one off eBay.
Sorry to hear of your troubles, hope they aren't all like that.

It's not a problem. The adapters just need boring out to 11.5mm 10mm deep on the pipe side of the fittings.

Could have been worse. At least it's sorted now.
Can see all the way through most of my rad so think I need to get it replaced asap

Repair a radiator I found to be false economy. In the end the repair blew and caused over heat hence head skim etc. Bought a new rad from foundry 4 X 4 based in Tredegar S Wales. Cost far less than repairing head. If I recall less than £90 with brass plugs for rad and it fitted correctly.
