I think you have not aligned it properly, they have a key spline.my new prop was so.

Sounds like its a case of sit wiv the prop on yer lap and in and out until it sorts itself.

Hi jacking this thread as I don't see point of starting a new one!!

Anyway......... Seen a Disco for sale at £800 but needs a new prop shaft (Doesn't say front or rear just says new prop needed) Done a quick Google search and reckon I can get brand new front + rear props for £50 each, sound about right price? Also is it a simple enough job to do?

Thanks again!!

U get what u pay for, from Rimmer bros a genuine front prop for my vehicle FRC 8641 would be £1025. :)

2nd hand props on ebay bout 20 to 50 quid. And id convert to 4 bolt rear.prop at same time

What's the advantage of a 4 bolt to a normal prop shaft? Please don't say it has 4 bolts instead of 1 :D

Shirley ya mean instead of 3?? 3 bolt flange has a rubber doughnut, at the end and they fook up 4bolt doesn't have the doughnut.

4 bolt flange is about 29 quid new for the kit. Rear prop is bout 20 to 30 quid for 200tdi 4 bolt rear prop. And a front prop is bout 20 quid.

If you have a front diff they are 4 bolt and will fit in thw rear no problem as they are the same
