Evening all.

Driving home this evening, my oil pressure light came on and remained on. Stopped and checked oil level which was fine, so continued home.

I've had a little look in the dark and the oil pressure sender is leaking oil.

Would I be right in assuming the sender is nackered, hence the oil pressure light.

I need to drive it 15 miles to work again in the morning and just want to confirm my suspicions before I do major damage!

Will order a new sender tonight.

Thanks.

In all probability it probably is the switch if it is also leaking, however I wouldn't risk driving it unless I could confirm good oil pressure as the consequences of no oil pressure is a damaged engine.
