Keeping in mind the novice nature he already said. I would get them to do it. I wouldn't suggest cam belt is the first job for anyone. Yes its procedural but you need the radiator out for the first time to see what's going on.
And you need good tools, which OP has not said he has got.

i mean he did say he hasn’t used it off road for a good year or so as it’s his pride and joy he’s spent loads on it and wouldn’t want to ruin it but obviously I could get there and it be completely different. But thanks I will defo check
Has it got a full year's MOT?

Mine wasn't used off road either but it still needed new sills, boot floor repairs, wheel arch, chassis welding etc and mine was only 11 years old at the time. Obviously there are good ones out there but finding any 20+ year old LR with little rust I suspect would be a challenge. I do hope you find one though, I do miss my D1 ES at times.

And have you checked insurance quotes for a modified vehicle?

yea Insurance I rang Adrian flux and managed to get a quote I was happy with. But obviously is there any other insurance companies anyone recommends ? Sorry for all the questions it sounds silly

yea i mean I do imagine it won’t be perfect even tho it hasn’t been off road and abused. But hope I do find a good one as it saves a few problems in the long run and would be a good laugh

There are only a few that do insurance for modified, especially for a 19 year old.
I am surprised that the quote was reasonable, not often heard that about Flux! :D

well I mean to some people it wouldn’t be reasonable as everyone is different. I mean I rang up when I was 18 and they said no chance we won’t insure you at all so yea

So did I. Not about Land Rovers, but about forums.

Doesn't seem to have done me any harm. I think! :D

Yea first forum I’ve been on really so been a bit lost but oh well everyone is nice enough. Just want to be pointed in the right direction with the land rovers so I know as much as I can before owning one

You mention tools. What tools you recommend. As I do motorcross so I have a few things like the socket sets spanner’s t handles all the screwdrivers etc but a truck and a motocross bike are different so what tools would you say are good to get to get started on. I’m hoping to learn a few things myself on the truck which could be good or not sorry for all the questions that may sound stupid
