A lot of people search for MPG. It's always a bitch with the price of diesel.
A challenge to get the old bus running sweet though..

Hmm... thats screwed up your statistics - mines an auto on 235/85 AT's and does short journeys, oh and I have a lead foot!

Not really as simple as it seems.

My mate has a manual with a few fuelling and breathing tweaks and regularly gets 36mpg - they're both 300Tdi discoveries...

People always wanna know what other people get.
I've just got an extra 2 or 3mpg by just changing my driving style (more old man), up'd it from 25-26 to 28-29.

this subject has been covered many times, why do people care about mpg......its a fooking landrover

get a ****ing mirca if it bothers you that much

Not bad considering the size of her mine does anything between 22 around London and 35 on a long run at 70 mph

Thats the point really, the mpg will depend largely on the usage.

I just filled up with £110. worth of BP's finest, just under 80Ltrs. I travelled 415 miles since my last fill, so a rough calculation means I got about 23 - 24 MPG.

But....... I did have a full day out Green laning over christmas with the last tank, and the engine spent a lot of time ticking over keeping the family warm while I was helping/watching me mates get unstuck, did about 100 miles that day.

So if I did not do that, would I have got nearer the ilusive 30 MPG

Basically, I dont really care, I enjoyed myself that day, although I did not enjoy paying for £110 worth of fuel... :D

i got 350 miles to a full tank today but was towing a big trailer over hilly roads at top of scotland so not too bad..
