My 300tdi seems slightly down on power and sounds like its running on 3 cylinders if that makes any sense?


Attempted to get the 11mm nut off for the sediment trap at the back which wouldnt budge..

its also blowing at the air box...

I did the valve clearances thinking it could be this but it wasn't.

Could it be a blocked injector or something like that?

A few weeks ago i noticed when i parked on my old mans drive which is really steep with the front end facing down that there was diesel on his drive. I pushed on the fuel return pipes a little further as I thought it was leaking from there but couldn't be 100%


Any idea?

When was it serviced last, changing the air filter makes a world of difference.

check if the diesel is leaking from the bottom of the timing case, if it is its the front seal on the injection pump that's failed

Last service was a year ago so i know its ready, gonna change the diesel and air filter soon, it has used a bit of oil over the year because the top seal needed changing after doing the valve clearances needed swapping..

Would some sort of injector cleaner from a garage help at all? Or are they a load of bluff?
