hi i have a 2.5dt defender and a 300tdi disco would the disco engine go in ok and would it be a good idea or would i be beter to look for a 200tdi engine thanks

Think you'll need to fit the R380 gear box as well mate. A 200tdi is a lot easier conversion as you only need to replace/modify the exhaust downpipe IIRC. Boydy has put a 300tdi into his so he should know a lot more about it.

i do to. 300tdi is easier i rekon cos you dnt have to **** about with the downpipe anywhere near as much.

search for 300tdi upgrade on here, my thread with photos and lists will appear! if you cant find it let me know and ill find it 4 u

just got in. gorra couple of 'issues' to investigate an all, think my intake pipe is falling apart.

Good stuff, let me know if you need a hand with anything. Was wondering if I could come and grab those lock-stops and see if the selector unit on your old box will fit on my lt77?
