Well , I'll go to the bottom of me stairs!
I always assumed lt77 and r380 were both longer in the disco version.
Question....
I have a Defender spec LT77 in me 110, I fitted a disco 200tdi to it without moving the box from its factory position.
Would a 380 from a disco fit without modding anything apart from the shift adapter from Ashcroft?
@jamesmartin
when 300 tdi came out the same engine and gear box ,front axle (except calipers)pas box front prop etc were used, for both disco rrc and defender, though obviously box was altered to take a long stick top, def lt 77 box is much shorter than a disco lt77 which is the exact same length as an r380, unless r380 was one of a few short ones built as def lt77 replacements, you could use an adapter in a lt77 disco box but engine would then go forward but 2 inches short of a std 300tdi as the whole transmission moves forward with def 300s hence the bulge in g/box tunnel

not really, very dear new ,it is simple to unbolt those bits put a plate or tape over the removed rev plunger hole
Thanks James I'll have a go at that when the times come to it next year. Atleast I now have a plan for this 90 I've brought.
