Hi,

I have a 3dr 1998 disco with push forward seats (non eletric) they are in a right state and the dog has ripped them to bits.

I have found a full interior from a 5 door 1998 disco on ebay for 200 quid. included are electric front and passenger seats, rear seats, door cards, centre console (with seat buttons) and the wiring loom for the electric seats.

Does anyone know if you can install the seats and set up the electric bits even if the car did not originally come with electric seats.

I was hoping the discos came with part of the wiring and I just have to plug the seat wiring loom into a factory installed plug.

At the moment I cannot check myself as my car is in the hands of VOSA

U have found full interior from a 5 door..... and urs is a 3 door,,, the front seat will be differant i would think
 
not sure if the door cards would fit. are the 3 door trucks not fitted with a longer front door? not too sure but i know most 3 door cars have a longer front door than the 5 door versions
 
Nope, 3 & 5 door share the same front doors.

On the downside, the 5door front seats will not tip forward to allow access to the back seat
 
I knew it wouldn't be too long before someone came along with the answer. Thats good to know, if anyone else was looking to do an interior swap. Cheers

I have here the complete seat set from a 3 door that you can have for a small price, they are MINT - I bought them in error because the clot never told me they came from a 3 and would not fit my 5 door without mods, I bought them as they were in such good order, gave them a full valet and have sat in my house now for about 6 months! PM me.
 
Floorpans are pretty much identical on the RRC and both versions of the D1 IIRC.

Just popped out and looked at the seat bases in our 5 door, and from memory they look to bolt down in the same places as the 3 door, but I dont have one to check against anymore.

Do remember though, there is no tiltforward on the 5 door seats, making getting into the back seats something best left to gymnasts and small children.
