Got a new intercooler + pipes fitted last night.. but got to clean this thing out just wanted to make sure i wasn't putting it back on for it to be full of oil in a few weeks timeIf the intercooler and intake hasn't been cleaned in a couple of years that isn't bad
I would clean all the pipes and fittings from the turbo to the inlet manifold as well as wipe out the intake pipe - last couple of inches after the pipe connecting from the oil separator
then maybe monitor the last pipe going into the inlet manifold as well as the short elbow that comes out of the turbo in a month or 2
I nearly want to say that crud is normal if not cleaned for a long time
Actually the fact that you say it's dry tells me that the turbo isnt gone as the oil has had time to dry
nah it's blanked off (was cleaned after it was blanked)Car have or had EGR fitted?
Valve clearances last checked? lash caps stil present?nah it's blanked off (was cleaned after it was blanked)
all caps still there.. valve clearances.. well they look fine when looking inwardsValve clearances last checked? lash caps stil present?
I meant the valve clearance that you adjust on the rockers.all caps still there.. valve clearances.. well they look fine when looking inwards
yeah i know what you meant.. but i aint taking the rocker cover off just for a bit of oil in the inlet manifold lolI meant the valve clearance that you adjust on the rockers.
