hi guys, I'm new to this so any help will be greatly appreciated. I've a defender 90 which I'm putting a 300tdi into, the original injector pump was the fly-by wire pump which I e now replace with a manual pump. But I have a problem, when I start my defender the pump will just rev on its own, with not respond when I give revs. Anyone have this problem before? thanks in advance

sounds life a fault with the injection pump ecu. get it plugged in and check. could also be the potentiometer.

Correct me if I am wrong, but haven't you taken the EDC FIP off ? In which case, IIRC, the mechanical pump you have is probably off a 200 TDi, not a 300... unless its something daft like the throttle linkage stuck... but I'm guessing you've checked that ???
