My 96 Disco injector pump has a lever the function of which I do not understand. Perhaps someone here can fill me in.
On the side of the pump closest to the engine block, there is like a vertical lever close to the top of the pump body.
This lever has an adjustable push rod attached to it with a long spring which runs up to the throttle lever.
When the throttle is operated, the lever moves a little.
What is the function of this lever and how is it adjusted ??
Mine is disconnected and some parts have been lost but the car seems to run fine.
I have seen pictures of pumps from other years and they dont seem to have this lever.
Thanks, Steve
