As the title. I had a 300tdi defender that I sold and have missed ever since. I've found a nice 2.25 petrol chassis good and so is the body I want to use the Landy on a weekend or payand play maybe 3k a year.

What's everyone's options on the engines and what's involved in swaping.

I too have petrol defender, 2.5 90.

I have been offered an almost complete 300TDI engine for a good price and am currently trying to decide if it's worth it.

From what I've heard, you need to re-arrange some engine mounts to fit a 300 in (and intercooler bracket?)

I'm waiting to hear back from a friend about a v8 90 forsale.

As for moving the mounts can you buys kits to weld in ect or is it a fabrication job. Will I still gave to alter the mounts ect for a v8?
