Definitely if I could figure it out. I wouldn't have a clue what would be a suitable replacement part - spec etc!

i think you just need a roundish 4 inch blower.

Will do mate, having read a few threads on this subject, I think the Defender blower is probably just as effective as the other options. Now I need to find a cheap good used motor before Xmas. To be honest I'm not too hopeful, it's not looking good as no one appears to have one for sale!!
