Fellows,
Could any 300TDI L/RGuru's out there offer advice as to whether the front timing cover viscous damper bearing is available as a stand alone replacement part in the UK? Most dealer websites have them listed as an integral part of the front timing cover. Also SKF the bearing manufacturer don't list them in their catalogue of bearings. I have found them here in Oz for sale at $99AUD or about 41UK pounds plus freight. Is that a fair and reasonable price as I have found that a lot of Oz L/R dealers seem to inflate their prices!!!!!
