Hi all,
I have a 300tdi discovery 1 and it has a fault where it cuts out every now and then. It happens when either going up hill or just after its gone through water. once it has been stood for a while it will start up aging and run as normal. I was thinking that it might be a fueling problem but im not sure. has anyone had this issue before i start taking out the fuel sender to see if its crap in the tank.

Could have an intermittent electrical supply problem to the fuel cut-off solenoid, try a "hot wire" direct from battery positive to the solenoid on back of the injection pump as a test.
I have had such an issue with my first 300tdi, it was just the female spade connector on the end of the wire to the solenoid was spread and giving a bad electrical connection from the ignition switch, closed the spade a little with pliers and pushed it back onto the IP, all ok.
Maybe try doing this first before trying the hot wire trick.
