Similar thing. But mine was no power, wouldn't rev.
Left if for half an hour, started and all fine. Same happened two weeks later, but not playing.
Started fine the next morning.
New pump and I blew back down the lines with aerosol air.. Six weeks and counting. All the best.

In some ways I sort of wish something had packed up,at least I could replace with a new part and have peace of mind that it was fixed
Not finding any cause of the problem sort of makes it worse ,not knowing if or when it might happen again

If the fuel filter is clear it would suggest that the tank is ok. Don't forget that there is also the sedimentor at the rear of the vehicle that should also trap water and ****e.

This problem has now happened again today and it will force start with aerosol up the air intake but cuts out as soon as I stop spraying.deffo no fuel getting in at all this time
Is it injection pump knackered ??

Sounds like it bud. I got my pump from JGS4x4. Came with new nuts and olives which I hadn't considered till I needed them, nice bit of kit for about thirty quid and a doddle to fit (a cautious noob half an hour). Bonnet off makes things much simpler IMO. LR engineers left a path through the fuel pipes for your socket and extension bar, big plus 1 to them. Make sure you don't cross up the pipes from the tank. Also, take a look at the spill pipes linking the injectors on the head, they might be tired too. Halfords have some pipe I think, though I used 6x4mm Polyurethane pneumatic tube (coz I had some) and it works a treat. Still not a hiccup since mid October, get it done :) Happy New Tratter-year :D

Am no expert, obviously. But I did notice that, when she wasn't playing, the fuel filter sucked air IN when I opened the tell tail on the top. Might be relevant. All the best.
