thought the grinding kinda noise was coming from the transmission somewhere at first but it appears to be the bottom pulley.
is this going to be something related to the crank or does it just need a good greasing? (engine oil was done a few weeks back and level is fine.)
hi first thing is the pulley loose ,has the nut come loose and the pulley is chattering on the woodrough key ide take the pully off and inspect where the woodrough key fits or slides on the pulley it probably has eaten some of the groove away on the pulley .
not nessasary the timming gear is behind the bottom pulleyand has its own woodrough key i work on mod wolf engines for the ta and change cambelts quite regually ive seen the damage done by a bottom pully comming loose it scaps the pully sometimes the crank goes with it just depends on how long its been loose the cam timming shoud not alter if the pulleys still attatched or be it loose.
