Got the Disco moved closer to home on Saturday evening, cued the music and got stuck in. Undersealed all the new metal, replacement wing, door and bootlid went on and refitted snorkel. Got some brackets made up and bolted the tank down, refitted all seals and rewired the rear end and no end of other little jobs. Still alot to do yet but im hoping to have it back on the road by start of November. Quick wee shot from about 3am Sunday morning...



Hoping the paint arrives soon and it can really start to look alot better.

As of Saturday it is now back on the road.



Fitted both heavy duty steering arms, guard and tracking done, Adrenalin 4x4 radius and trailing arms, and fully polybushed, fresh diff oil, wading kit is on and underside given a generous coat of underseal. Engine wise the snorkle is refitted, serviced and egr deleted. Body has been shortened, replaced passanger door, wing and bootlid and all painted by roller with Marcus glenn satin nato paint. Roof done gloss black as are bumpers. Roof and rear work lights have been rewired as old wiring was shoddy. Inside it has a big silly gearstick, new front and rear door speaker and fuel tank and spare wheel mounted. All i can think of ive done over past wee while just glad its back on the road and can start to make plans on the next modifications.

First proper days offroading since it was bobtail with my local club ae 4x4. Good fun day, few bits i need to work on but happy with how it performed.

Busy over Christmas holidays decided to make an external cage. With the help of a few mates and a pipe bender we got cracking. Took a couple weekends not quite finished yet, bars to go on down the front wings and another bar to go over windscreen but it's getting there..







Also treated myself to a new set of tyres and changed alot of the mismatch interior to matching beige kit, and finally a working heater control 😁 first offroad event new improved look start of February im hoping.

What tube is it?

Mine is 2 inch pipe from a local steel merchant. 4x 21 foot lengths will have it done, ive just enough left for my front bars. Will be using a bit of 1.5 inch for my windscreen bar though as i wouldn't be able to see much with the bigger stuff.
