Anybody any idea what this is and what it does? It's bolted to the o/s wing and has a cable running through the bulkhead. The rubber pipes were completely perished and I'm in the process of replacing them

The rubber hose splits via a t piece and goes back though the bulkhead.

The other end of the pipe runs across the firewall and around to the air box but I can't see what it's meant to connect to as the old pipe is really perished here and just dangles in mid air.

Any ideas? Ta muchly

Hi Mate, if my memory serves me right it's the vacuum actuator for the cruise control
Ah right thanks for that, it has got cruise control I just didn't know how it works. I wonder where the other end of the pipe connects?

The pipe off the T will go to brake pedal to cause vacuum loss and thus no cruise control until resumed.

The pipe starts at the vacuum pump positioned below the jack, after removing the jack the pump can be seen partly in one of the round access holes in the metal work.
