Hi guys I have a 300tdi auto and the ac worked well when I bought it I then did the manual pump conversion (mine had cable accelerator to start with) ever since my ac hasn't worked when I press the ac button the fans click in but compressor doesn't I've checked the relays and when I power the wire in the ac relay it all works as should not sure if it clicks in and out with temperature but compressor works does anyone know of what or how to fix this please ?

No worries - I remembered reading it when looking into the conversion as I’ll be doing mine when built
I've removed the fuse works all time now so trying to get it switched the thing I think is the ecu doesn't have 44 wires or any numbers on the plug also doesn't have any black and yellow wires I've found a big white connector with a black and yellow wire but don't want to just start cutting wires lol do you have any pictures of the ecu or connector block that houses this wire?

I've spent ages looking through this I don't have a injection ecu looked both drivers and passengers side so I can't find this black and yellow wire I have a green box , window ecu , a metal box that doesn't have many wires (no black and yellow) and drivers side I have a big bosch ecu looking thing when I googled pictures of the ecu I need it isn't any of these don't suppose you have more pictures of where you found the wire do you? On my D1 300 tdi there is a pressure sensor on the aircon pipe which runs fairly close to where you would have been fiddling
Its a 2 wire
I think the aircon system - probably just a bunch of relay's in series - needs a couple of inputs for all the relays to say yes and feed power to the compressor clutch
Might be worth your while to just give the aircon pump 12v through the plug on top of the aircon pump - might confirm if the aircon is actually working

I've done it the ecu I was
Looking for isn't the ecu with the yellow and black wire I needed bit of a blonde moment all working perfectly now thank you so much for all your help much appreciated
