As that's only 24mm diameter bigger than 265/75/16's I wouldn't have thought you'd need to do to much

Nor would i

I have 265/75/16's special trax on my 90

which is a 2.5 n/a

It does struggle on any incline have to change down, however off road it just keeps plodding along and keeps ggoing when newer and more expensive machinery is spinning and struggling.

keep think 200tdi upgrade might help

You'd be surprised, I had a 2.4D hilux mk3 and I noticed a difference going from standard to 31"
Most defenders run 235/85/16's which are as near as makes no difference to 265's. Also bear in mind that doing loads of power upgrades to the engine will only increase the stresses on the rest of the drive train like diffs and half shafts. I ran 265's on mine for a while and it was still pretty quick (for a Defender)

Yeah it always makes me wonder when you see people thrashing around, power has its place offroad but unless you know what you're doing it usually just ends up in a broken gearbox/shaft/ego.

As you mention, this thread is just about making sure my defender keeps good road manners.
