lumpy idle
New Member
Hi all,
I'm new the forum and I have been doing allot of searching regarding an issue I have but thought i would ask a question. I have a 1994 300tdi discovery manual and Recently hadhe head gasket done inc. Stem seals, valve lapping and soaking everything in parrifin to get soot off. Also done timing belt and decat pipe & de egr. It goes like a train, starts well with no smoke or misfire but smokes on overrun (blue/white). The exhaust is very clean when I accelerate hard. EI have also topped up the header with 2 liked in 400 miles and oil level looks ok.
Is.it.possible.to burn coolant only on over-run? Also smoke is sometimes blue making me think oils but then that still leaves the question of where coolant is going (no external leaks and also done p-gasket. Apologises for the long winded post.
